How We Repair Dents

(Without Paint or Filler)

At Precision Paintless Dent Repairs, we restore your panels using skill, not shortcuts — no spray painting, no body filler, and no need to leave your car at a panel shop for days.

Instead, we use a technique called Paintless Dent Repair (PDR). It's a method that reshapes the metal from behind the panel, or from the outside using specialist tools and glue-pull systems. The result? A smooth, factory-quality finish that protects your car’s original paintwork and resale value.

Step-by-Step: The PDR Process

We assess the dent

Not every dent is the same. We first inspect the depth, size and location of the dent to make sure it’s a good candidate for paintless repair — usually, if the paint isn’t cracked or chipped, we can fix it.

We choose the right method

There are two main ways we approach repairs:

  • Tool Access Technique
Using a series of custom-made steel rods, we reach behind the panel (through factory access points) and gently massage the metal back to its original shape.
  • Glue Pull Technique
If we can’t get behind the panel — for example, due to structural reinforcements — we use specialised glue tabs that attach to the outer surface. We then use a mini lifter tool to carefully pull the dent outward, finishing with gentle taps to smooth the surface.

We refine the finish

With the help of PDR lighting, which casts consistent reflections across the panel, we can spot even the tiniest imperfections and perfect the result. No respraying, no colour mismatches, and no worries about paint peeling down the track.

It’s Not Just Tools — It’s Technique

Although the tools are clever, PDR is not a quick fix anyone can do. It takes years of hands-on practice, pressure control, and panel knowledge to get it right. Heath brings over 25 years of experience, including high-level insurance work and extensive hail repair — so your car is in the safest hands.
